Would you see a film with Julia Roberts, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Alba, Jessica Biel, Jennifer Garner, Shirley MacLaine, Bradley Cooper and Ashton Kutcher? New Line Cinema is betting on it with their latest romantic comedy Valentine's Day to be directed by Garry Marshall. According to The Hollywood Reporter the actors above are all in final negotiations to star in the film. The storyline seems reminiscent of the 2003 film Love Actually and revolves around five slightly interconnecting stories happening in Los Angeles on Valentine's Day.

Even with all that star-power there are still a few major roles yet to be cast. With all these big names and maybe more on the way, whose name will make it onto the marquee?

"American Gladiators" creator Johnny Ferraro is working on a live-action adaptation of the long-lived TV show for theaters, reports Variety. According to Ferraro, the show was originally conceived as a film but it "took a detour and became a TV phenomenon." After first airing in 1988, "American Gladiators" has been on the air every year except one in the pas 20 years and has aired in more than 90 countries.

Scott Mednick, who will produce the film said, "I look forward to creating a compelling story that launches a whole new set of characters."

I could understand a documentary about "American Gladiators" but I'm not entirely sure what type of story they will add to make this into a real film. I guess they are just giving the people what they want. If

A woman in St. Louis found a Twilight sequel script in trash, according to the Associated Press.   Casey Ray found two scripts, reports the AP. One for the vampire sequel New Moon, and one for a different movie titled Memoirs. She decided to return them to the studio making the films. In return, the studio invited her to the movie's premiere, according to her lawyer.

It's not clear how the scripts wound up in the bin. Or if the scripts necessarily below in the trash. Though I have to say, Twilight the movie does not capture the fun read that the novel was.

The woman says she was waiting for her fiance to finish work when she spotted two scripts in a trash container. She was outside a hotel where actors were staying during a

Oh, that old formula: a loan officer (Alison Lohman) denies a loan extension to an ancient gypsy woman who responds with a hell curse instead of just complaining to the media. And hell curses, as the spooky shadows and sharp-toothed vengeful harpies illustrate, are one big bummer. The preview looks campy and the title is unquantifiably stupid, but Sam Raimi is directing and the fabulous Justin Long plays the concerned boyfriend. Is that dog turd on the horizon really a delicious tootsie roll? We're going to have to find out the hard way.

We already have a problem with the basic premise, because no one would actually mess with the creepy witch with the piebald eyes. Even in this economy, an obvious sorceress gets her loan extension, along with a

A year ago, word got out that writer/director Judd Apatow's followup to Knocked Up would be something like a "serious movie about a dying comedian." Normally this would cause somber alarms to go off, but all of the speculation was silenced when this beautiful preview opened before Role Models. I'm hoping this is the funniest movie of the summer (next to Bruno, at least). The film stars Adam Sandler as George Simmons, who (apparently) is an Adam Sandler-like movie star with both flops and hits under his Hollywood belt. He becomes friends with an up and coming comedy writer played by a skinny Seth Rogen. Simmons reevaluates his life when he has a near-death experience. Elizabeth Banks plays a frequent co-star of Sandler, who is married to Eric Bana.

Sorry folks, this is not news related to the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Samuel L. Jackson's company Uppity Films and Andras Hamori's H20 Motion Pictures have just secured the rights to the life story of Andrew Mwangura.

Mwangura is the current head of the Seafarer's Assistance Programme, an organization founded in 1996 that monitors piracy that happens off the African coast. He is an ex-marine engineer who is not paid for his work negotiating between pirates and their captives - he is a freelance journalist.

Said Hamori, "(Andrew) has the trust of the pirates and the ship owners, and his loyalty is to the kidnapped crews that get caught in the middle of these episodes."

The story of Mwangura is aiming to have Jackson play the lead role. As of now, there

DVD Review Galaxy Quest

Directed by: Dean Parisot Cast: Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Alan Rickman, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell, Daryl Mitchell Running Time: 1 hr. 41 mins. Rating: PG Release Date: May 12, 2009

Plot: "Galaxy Quest" is pretty much the TV show "Star Trek." Got it? Well, many years after the "Galaxy Quest" TV show, the frustrated actors are stuck doing sci-fi conventions. Suddenly, an interstellar race mistakes the show for "historical documents" and takes the actors to space to save the day.

Who's It For? Trekkers should appreciate this film, because even though at first it looks like it's just making fun, it's embracing the fandom. And this is a nice family movie to give your kids a taste of sci-fi comedy.

Movie: I got to be honest

I loved Coraline, but I think the ONLY way to see it is 3D. Period. Here's Morrow McLaughlin's scorecard review giving it a 9/10, and now Living Room Theaters is giving you another chance to see the film on the big screen in Portland.

Living Room Theaters begins an engagement of Coraline in 3D beginning Friday, May 15. Living Room Theaters is the ONLY theater in the region using XpanD 3D systems. This system offers the brightest images with the most accurate digital color reproduction possible. Unlike "real 3D," which uses disposable, passive, polarized glasses. XpanD glasses have active LCD shutters that flip on and off many times a second alternating between eyes to create the most lifelike 3D illusion yet created for the cinema. These special glasses are manufactured
