'The Iron Lady' starring Meryl Streep and Jim Broadbent - International trailer review

The Iron Lady Directed by: Phyllida Lloyd Starring: Meryl Streep, Jim Broadbent, Richard E. Grant Rating: PG-13 Release Date: January 13, 2012

TRAILER SCORE: 7/10

Thoughts by TSR: Meryl Streep has been considered an Oscar contender for this film, probably since the project was announced. Now she just has to live up to the hype. This trailer tries to convey that it will take a measured look at the career of Margaret Thatcher, one that a lot of British people have problems with today. She was very controversial in her time, not for being a woman but for her strong conservative stance. But she was also an exceptional woman who rose to power in a difficult field. My feelings about the politician are mixed, but I'm very interested in seeing this film. Also, did you notice Gilles (aka Anthony Stewart Head from Buffy the Vampire Slayer) is in it? I found that very exciting.
