'The Three Stooges' starring Sean Hayes - trailer review

The Three Stooges Directed by: Bobby Farrelly, Peter Farrelly Starring: Sean Hayes, Chris Diamantopoulos, Will Sasso Rating: unrated Release Date: April 13, 2012

TRAILER SCORE: 3/10

Thoughts by TSR: I have to be the wrong person to review this. I never really liked the Three Stooges even though they were all over TV when I was a kid. This movie just looks ridiculous. The Farrelly brothers haven't made a good film since There's Something About Mary. Thinking about The Heartbreak Kid just makes me want to cry for everyone involved. My only explanation for the final scene between Malin Akerman and a donkey is that the Farrelly's really don't like Cameron Diaz (who she's a dead ringer for). Looking at the cast list, I'm surprised more face time isn't given to the nuns, played by Jennifer Hudson, Sofia Veregara, and Jane Lynch. Larry David gets shown in the trailer, though he seems like a weird choice for the part.

The Stooges themselves didn't look familiar at all, though Sean Hayes is playing one of them (according to IMDB, Larry). That's probably a good choice, having actors who look like the original Stooges and not famous Hollywood actors is really the only way to go. But this still looks like total crap.
