Big weekend for monsters. Monsters Vs. Aliens crushed the competition, but was on almost 1,000 more screens than anything else. And it was about $10 million short of Ice Age: The Meltdown. The creepy first half of The Haunting in Connecticut was enough to scare up some business. And while Knowing and I Love You, Man showed they have staying power, Julia Roberts didn't have the box office impact she's used to.
