TSRn: Pulsipher replaces Duff in 'The Story of Bonnie & Clyde'

The Scorecard Review news

News: Lindsay Pulsipher, known for her role as Crystal Norris on HBO's True Blood, has stepped in to replace Hilary Duff in The Story of Bonnie & Clyde.

Source: The Hollywood Reporter Thoughts by TSR: How do I explain how I feel about this? Well, first and foremost, The Story of Bonnie & Clyde is one of the terrifying projects in Hollywood right now. Not because of its characters, but rather, because of its actresses. I've been against this remake/reboot/whatever you'd like to call it from the beginning.

When Hilary Duff was cast? There are no words for the mixture of anger and sorrow that comes to mind. How were you gonna do this to some of cinema's greatest outlaws? With Lindsay Pulsipher on board, I'm not entirely sure if my fears are any lessened.

She's capable on True Blood and I saw that she's also in a mini-series about the Hatfields and McCoys, which makes me wonder, can she play anybody else besides inbred hicks? I'd like to give her the benefit of the doubt, but I haven't really seen anything that warrants it.

Considering they also lost Kevin Zegers in the role of Clyde Barrow, it's a wonder that this project is still in the works. It just seems like it's headed for disaster and I hate to say Ms. Pulsipher, who seems to still be making a name for herself, get caught up in the carnage that is the production of The Story of Bonnie & Clyde.
