Fall and Winter Movie Preview ... Films Adapted from Books

The Twilight Saga: New Moon with Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart isn't the only book that is getting the big screen treatment this fall. Portland Book Examiner has chronicled the complete list of movies being adapted from books.

At first, it's shocking to see this many movies on the list. Then again, it makes much more sense to take something already created when the alternative is All About Steve (review coming this weekend). Plus, I've never really looked at a quarterly movie preview in terms of book adaptions. So maybe this is business as usual.

Here's the list...

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs - September 18 The Informant! - September 18 Whip It - October 2 The Damned United - October 9 Where the Wild Things Are - October 16 The Road - October 16 Cirque du Freak: The Vampire’s Assistant - October 23 Youth in Revolt - October 30 Disney’s A Christmas Carol - November 6 The Men Who Stare at Goats - November 6 The Box - November 6 The Twilight Saga: New Moon - November 20 The Blind Side - November 20 The Fantastic Mr. Fox - November 25 The Lovely Bones - December 11 The Princess and the Frog - December 11 Sherlock Holmes - December 25

You can see all of the previews at Portland Book Examiner.

What about you? Agree or disagree with either quick list?
