Hi.

This is Jeff Bayer, and I don't update this site very often. If you'd like to listen to my current movie podcast you can find it at MovieBS.com.

Sure, there were some bumps in the road. That can happen from time to time. Thanks to everyone for voting. This year 195 film fans decided the awards.

The Results of the 8th Annual Movie Awards

BEST ADAPTED SCREENPLAY

8.97 IN THE LOOP 8.50 UP IN THE AIR 8.48 FANTASTIC MR. FOX 7.89 A SINGLE MAN 7.83 PRECIOUS 7.79 AN EDUCATION 7.67 DISTRICT 9 7.66 THE INFORMANT!

Final Thoughts: Tight race. This is a case where there actually are no losers. But there is one winner and it's In the Loop. The little political comedy that could came out of nowhere and captured two TSR Awards this year (it also won for FUNNIEST). Man, Jason Reitman first gets shut out at the Oscars, and now this. Clearly he's taking it hard. I saw him at SXSW. Trust me, he'll come back from this loss. Look at the difference from first to last - 1.31. That's it. So again, did Matt Damon's The Informant! lose? Or did all of us win with some pretty good adapted screenplays this year?
