MY THOUGHTS: It's difficult to put together a trailer like this without overtly copying from a dozen other, more original horror films. The strategy is to appeal to horror fans by recycling past successes ... duh, right? So here we have The Crazies, a remake of the 1973 film of the same name, looking like a cross between Silent Hill (Ms. Mitchell, you're back?) and 28 Days Later. The trailer is average to slightly above average, but it does relay the message that this is everything you've ever seen before if you like that sort of thing (flying guts, loonies wielding pitchforks, scared women huddling in closets, etc.). However, using Gary Jules' mournful "Mad World" in the last twenty seconds was a nice touch.
