Go to FILM REVIEWS for all of this week's movie reviews and more (posted Friday morning).

This week’s not big on new releases with only two wide releases coming to theaters, but less competition certainly is bad news for these newcomers.

The first is the appropriately titled Hot Tub Time Machine about a bunch of middle-aged pals who travel back in time via their hot tub. The premise sounds a little thin, but word of mouth has been good to Cusack and company on this one.

Next is How to Train Your Dragon which seems to be more family friendly than anything else, but does it have what it takes to beat out Diary of a Wimpy Kid? We’ll just have to wait and see.

In terms of the older releases, I’m thinking none of these new releases are going to be able to push Alice out of first place. I could really go for an upset but it doesn’t look like this weekend is the one for it.

Diary still may have a bit of a draw, but I’m expecting that if it makes the list at all, it’ll be around the bottom. Followed by The Bounty Hunter. Despite awful reviews, it’s the “appeal” of Jennifer Aniston that may keep this movie going far past its prime.

Each week we’ll take a look at the box office and see if we can’t nail the Top 5 films (in correct order).

It’s harder than you think. If you don’t believe, let’s see what your answers are.
