Wow, no one saw movies this last weekend. I assume this was due to some football. Both college football and the NFL were in full swing this weekend, and next to Nic Cage in an action movie, there wasn't much of a choice.

"The Dark Knight" is $88 million away from "Titanic." Doesn't look like it will catch the sinking ship. You know what would be awesome? A complete ad campaign centered completely with the idea that Batman should take down the love story. They could attempt to get all comic book geeks to see the film every day. There's a good chance they would do it simply to have "Knight" claim the all-time No. 1 spot.

There should be a pretty good fight next weekend with Burn After Reading, Righteous Kill and The Women all being released on Friday.
