- Ricky Gervais killed at the Golden Globes the other night. The opening monologue had me snorting with glee. Yes, that's as sexy as it sounds.
- It's British, but otherwise Downton Abbey has nothing to do with Gervais. This Masterpiece Theater production is written by Julian Fellowes, the writer of Gosford Park and tells a similar story of upperclass and serving class British people keeping up appearances at what's essentially the end of an era. The first episode is online, give it a look.

- I'm going to have to become a member of OPB now because I've got another winner from last weekend. Austin City Limits just aired an episode with two of my favorite bands, The National and Band of Horses. Luckily, the whole episode can be viewed online.

- I love Lolcats, they give me lols. Best Coast totally loves them too, so much that they asked them to direct their new video for "Crazy For You". I wouldn't go that far, I don't think you want a director who poops in a box, but hey, the video turned out pretty well.
