The Results of the 8th Annual Movie Awards

BEST VISUALS – NON-SPECIAL EFFECTS

8.78 INGLOURIOUS BASTERDS 8.45 EARTH 8.12 A SINGLE MAN 8.09 THE YOUNG VICTORIA 7.86 THE WHITE RIBBON 7.35 UP IN THE AIR 6.93 AWAY WE GO 6.87 PUBLIC ENEMIES 6.65 TAKEN 6.63 JULIE & JULIA 6.35 NINE 4.87 COUPLES RETREAT

Final Thoughts: Basterds racks up another win. Once again, I'm upset that more people weren't aware that Earth was simply the same footage used from "Planet Earth" on the Discover Channel. It was simply reedited. Look at last place. Couples Retreat. Now, are we really voting on visuals here? Bora Bora looked amazing. I saw this again on my Blu-ray. It's now on the list of "must vacation there in my life." Yes, I know the movie isn't good. That's not Bora Bora's fault. I'm most proud of the voters recognizing A Single Man. It's the best use of changing color tones that I can currently think of. Great cinematography.
