Robert Rodriguez’s Predator remake to star Adrien Brody and Topher Grace
You could tape Adrien Brody and Topher Grace together and you still wouldn’t get one Arnold Schwarzenegger.
That hasn’t stopped 20th Century Fox’s reboot of the Predator franchise to cast both men in the lead roles.
Producer Robert Rodriguez and director Nimrod Antal are already on board and Hollywood Reporter says Brody’s character “is a man who ends up inheriting the mantle of leader” amongst the film’s cast, as each player finds themselves the unwitting prey of a horde or Predators. Brody is also known as “a hunter of men.” Grace, meanwhile, plays “an accountant-type whose unassuming facade masks a dangerous serial killer.”
Yeah, that’s right … serial killer. So things are changing. But doesn’t this sound a little more exciting than Vin Diesel being cast in a remake?
Just to get the blood pumping, here’s the trailer to the original 1987 Predator film. And if you said to yourself … where’s the Predator 2 trailer starring Danny Glover, shame on you. Shame.
If you could have one guy back from the original to get killed by the Predator, who would it be? Carl Weathers? Jesse Ventura? My vote, Poncho. Definitely Poncho.

another remake of a decent movie, just like Hawaii Five O or countless other movies, tv shows, etc….
STOP. Think of something new!
The funny thing is my sister and I were just talking about this today, and we figured rather than reboot, just continue the predator story but revisit “the hunting the some unknown problem” theme like in the first one. Set that ish in Somalia, or Afghanistan, since those areas are both war torn. That would explain why our military is there, and it would give the predator a half way decent hunting ground and a change of scenery.
Really a fricking serial killer? Scrawny ass Topher Grace? You expect me to believe that scrawny ass Topher Grace is going to give the Predator competition? Unassuming = Scrawny. THE PREDATOR vs. The Pianist(Brody) and That 70′s Show (Grace)? that is so stupid i want to puke. I don’t even have anything else to say. Maybe I’m an ass, but what’s the angle?
PS I’d prefer Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson over Vin Diesel. But I really don’t see how Diesel would ruin the movie anymore than Topher Grace and Adrien Broudy. Blame it on the fact that I am a girl… who knows but I like my action heros with a little more meat on them.
Vinnie Jones and Tommy “Tiny” Lister and throw Danny Trejo in there somewhere too.
This is really pathetic. Did they get a good look at Brody before he was cast? I like my heroes to be built, handsome, sexy, and able to do most of their own stunts. Um, where does Brody fit into those areas. He’s certainly no Arnold S, Stallone, Jackman, Downey, Depp, Cruise, Stratman, Reynolds, Bale, the Rock, Vin Diesel and etc. I doubt Brody could get built even with intraveneous steriods. He is no handsome man either-that nose and greasy hair would have to go! So, I would say there goes half the fan population. Yes, I am prejudice. I am a woman too-but come on now really! I am like Jenna (hi, Jenna!!!!) I like my heroes with meat on them, sexy and handsome. Brody is not even close! How do they plan to make money off of this??
What do you mean, “Shame on you”. Gary Busey’s teeth made that film. Him smiling was almost as dramatic as the predator taking off his mask in the first film.

I will agree with shame on you if you liked P vs. A. BTW, it had the same catch phrase as the last three U.S. presidential elections, “No matter who wins … we lose”.

Adrien brody was wrongly casted in this movie. He is not the he-man type, nor does he have the handsome appeal. A nose job would greatly increase his chances for more roles of this type.

Adrien Brody is a really great actor and I have no problem with him in a lead for this. Not even Arnold could match up with the Predator. Remember, it kicked Arnolds ass bad. Arnold defeated the Predator with his wits, not in a fist fight!!!!! But seriously, no Topher Grace. Bad actor.
ps why do people still mention the Rock for anything action related, He sold out. All he does is Disney movies for kids.
that’s exactly what I said!!! The Rock, albeit coming from dubious beginnings, has shown potential for this sort of thing; even managing to display a little charisma. But he’s been doing all of these crappy little kiddie Disney movies. WTF?? This should be his chance to do something great.
@ freddyfox, arnold was also strong enough to lift that goliath sized log into the tree, and thats what eventually killed predator. could you see adrian brodys skinny ass doing shit like that?? i dont think so…. the whole thing that made arnie dangerous in the first place was that he was a trained special forces soldier, get someone like bear grylls to bulk up and do the role.
I’m really excited about this! I love Robert Rodriguez, and I looooove Adrian Brody. Also, amI the only person in the world who loves counterintuitive casting?? Arnold already defined the big, beefy action hero type in the first Predator–why go there again? Adrian Brody will be great for this movie, and he won’t turn it into a sad and pointless attempt to just do what’s already been done over again.

The Rock, like Tim Allen, must have absent-mindedly sold his soul to the devil by signing a contract with Disney thus, ensuring he complete a certain number of films before being released back into the world.
