Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”) and Rebecca Hall join Affleck’s The Town

Both Jon Hamm and Rebecca Hall have been signed to star with Ben Affleck in a joint Warner Brothers and Legendary Pictures adaptation of Chuck Hogan’s novel “The Town,” reports Variety.

Aside from playing the lead role, Affleck rewrote the draft by Peter Craig and Hogan and he’ll be directing. The story revolves around a bank robber (Affleck) who falls in love with the teller (Hall) of a bank he held up. Hamm plays an FBI agent who also falls for Hall’s character while investigating the robberies.

Filming will start next month in Boston, a city familiar to Affleck. Not only was he raised in nearby Cambridge, but it’s also where he made his feature film directorial debut with Gone Baby Gone in 2007. I’m sure this time around he’s hoping he stuff a little more money into his satchel — and please no dye packs.
