Final Thoughts: Those ten films above made the most money at the box office in 2009. We have our lowest score and biggest gap for this year's TSR Movie Awards. Alvin, Simone, Theodore ... I'm looking in your direction. It seems those who actually sat through the Squeakquel weren't thrilled with the result. Star Trek as the big winner here is a nice surprise. I was convinced Up or Avatar was going to take the top spot. And no, the 195 voters weren't die-hard Trekkies. I filtered through the other categories and nothing fishy came up. Once we got rid of the twihards, it looks like The Twilight Saga: New Moon fell back to Earth. For movie fans, who don't care about the novels featuring Bella and Edward, the films just aren't capturing any excitement. And yes, I do realize there is a strong core of followers, but it's not leaking into the general public.
