'Jackass 3D' starring Johnny Knoxville - Trailer Review

Jackass 3D Directed by: Jeff Tremaine Starring: Johnny Knoxville, Bam Margera, Steve-O Rating: NR Release Date: October 15, 2010

MY THOUGHTS: We do enough serious movies around here, so I personally get a little excited whenever I get the chance to see something mindless and fun. That's what Jackass 3D is for me. I have no expectations of a plot or acting, but man, after everything I've been through with through with these guys? Well, not literally, but I have seen every single episode and both movies, not that it's anything to brag about. I don't know what it is about Jackass that lets me just sit back and enjoy the stupidity of others, but it's definitely there. The only letdown in my book is that it'll be in 3D. Knoxville and Margera were counter culture figures once, but then again, with MTV releasing it, I can't say I'm too surprised. Still, this trailer did a good job of making fun of the fact and showcasing some of the stunts to expect, it almost makes up for the total lack of plot. It's good to see something that's perfectly content with just being fun after a pretty big letdown of a summer season and I have to say that this is bound to be something worth to see, for me at least. It's a return to escapism with other people putting themselves into harm's way, so that I can have a laugh at their expense, is there anything more American than that?
