Hi.

This is Jeff Bayer, and I don't update this site very often. If you'd like to listen to my current movie podcast you can find it at MovieBS.com.

'The Human Centipede 2 (Full Sequence)' from director Tom Six - trailer review

The Human Centipede 2 Directed by:Tom Six Starring: Laurence R. Harvey, Ashlynn Yennie, Maddi Black Rating: R Release Date: October 7, 2011 (limited)

TRAILER SCORE: 6/10

Thoughts by TSR: Enter the conundrum: what do we do when the idea is loathsome but the trailer is actually pretty good? We focus on the trailer itself so we don't feel like dirty whores!

Know that I'd sooner sit through 2 Girls, 1 Cup: The Musical than see even three minutes of The Human Centipede 2. So I got my fill of the movie watching the trailer.

The trailer is effectively creepy and it's a plausible idea for a sequel. Harvey skulks around in spooky places, glaring at the world from under his eyebrows and looking just unhinged in general. The information is presented in a corybantic way, but the disorder complements the crazy main character and his crazy idears. Will we ever tire of the delusional middle-aged psycho who still lives with his mother? Hard to say. But I can say with confidence that most of us have reached our saturation point for people sewn ass to mouth. It only took one movie.

The core reason we're stuck with the sequel is because our morbid fascination was mistaken for demand. Are you feeling me out there?

Oh, for any sickos out there who just loved the first one, and now you're getting ready to submit angry comments, know this: I wish you could be sterilized for the good of the gene pool.

But again, the trailer wasn't too bad!
