The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1 Directed by: Bill Condon Starring: Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Taylor Lautner Rating: PG-13 Release Date: November 18, 2011
TRAILER SCORE: 8/10
Thoughts by TSR: I will be mercilessly ribbed for this by the dudes I work with here at The Scorecard Review, but I dig Twilight. And the trailer for the last chapter (coincidentally my favorite book) looks freakin' awesome.
The movies have been more and more faithful to the books with each new film, and if the trailer is any indication, fans of the book will not be displeased. Bella and Edward get married and make love in all sorts of luscious, exotic places: Jacob is brooding and takes his shirt off in the rain again; Bella's miraculous pregnancy. It is all there in its full, girl-porn, glory.
Those of us who have read the book know that the birth scene is going to be a doozy. And since Robert Pattinson is going around saying he can't understand how the movie could possibly be PG-13 instead of R, I think we're in for a surprise. You know, one of those, technically-this-isn't-a-PG-13-movie-but-no-one-cares surprises.
Weee!
And before anyone snickers, I'm not crazy. I won't bring out my life-sized Edward poster until at least the day before the movie is released. And I won't call Bayer or Nick a Nazi if they don't like it; though, they should probably let me review it. I'd be concerned for their lives...
