MY THOUGHTS: After watching the trailer for Brotherhood, I'm still not entirely sure how I feel about it. At first glance, it's a little difficult for me to understand the stupidity of it. We've all seen the horrible prank gone awry in a number of different ways, ranging from silly teen antics to the extreme and deadly. That's my main issue with the movie is I'm not sure why it's important that I see these particular characters do what they do and if Brotherhood even brings anything new to the table.

Like I said, it's not a new idea. I mean, sure, the fraternity set up and the robbery bits are, but if it ends up going down the road of "this is what happens when you don't make decisions for yourself and cave in to peer pressure," then we may have a problem. It looks like a sincere effort, but so much of my enjoyment of the movie hinges on information that they can't neatly give away in the trailer.

The one thing that I will say is that Brotherhood has a lot of potential. There are a number of ways I could see this movie turning out, but judging from the trailer, this movie is so much more about the journey than anything else. It does look like a tense thriller that, at its very worst, might not make for a bad popcorn flick.
