Deadpool, aka Wade Wilson, aka Mr. Scarlett Johansson, aka Ryan Reynolds talks about his superhero/villain in an extra on X-men Origins: Wolverine. It's the second of five DVD Bonus Featurettes courtesy of Empire.
I'm a Reynolds fan, and it's pretty impressive to hear he put in five months of sword work for this role. After all, when I got done watching this flick in the theater, one thing I was most disappointed in was the fact that Reynolds was barely in it.
At that time, I don't think he officially knew if X-Men Origins: Deadpool would even exist.
Side rant ... I understand the need to keep the first word "X-men" in the title. After all, this means being next to the other films in alphabetical order on Netflix and in Blockbuster. But saying it, and writing it ... annoying. And is the word "origins" really doing anything for anybody here? Isn't X-men: Wolverine, X-men: Deadpool, and X-men: Magneto good enough?
