After years of waiting, Disney and Pixar have finally dished out new footage of Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Mr. Potato Head, etc. And though it is nothing revelatory, it will certainly make the moment we do see something new from the trilogy even more awesome. For now, we'll just have to bask in the glorious re-introduction of our animated inanimate friends.
Here's what we know so far. A screenplay written by Michael Arndt (the guy who wrote Little Miss Sunshine) has the toys placed into a type of daycare center, after owner Andy goes off to college (which keeps the saga in real time). We also know that there's going to be a character named Lotso, who can be seen briefly in Pixar's latest, Up. As for that, not much has been revealed about Toy Story 3, other than the fact it has Pizza Planet-high expectations to keep Up with current Pixar greats.
Toy Story 3 opens June 18, 2010.
