It seems we here at TSR (with the exception of all knowing Bayer) underestimated America's love of xenophobic and largely recycled humor. Yup, as much as I hate to admit it, The Hangover Part II took the box office by storm.

Kung Fu Panda 2 underwhelmed in its opening weekend, despite being one of the few kid friendly flicks out there. I guess every panda has its day, and this weekend proved that it wasn't Po's.

Pirates stayed the course, dropping down to number three, but only to make room for the newcomers at the top.

Bridesmaids saw a steady decline this weekend, which means it might be losing the staying power it had from critics and word of mouth.

Finally, Thor was hit hard this weekend. Not even with the help of the hammer of Thor do I see this one sticking around much longer, after a pretty bleak weekend at the box office.

Calhoun Kersten vs. Aaron Ruffcorn

Each weekend Kersten and Ruffcorn go head to head in the Box Office Challenge, trying to pick the correct Top 5.

This weekend ... Kersten Wins!

Season record: 4-2

Thoughts by TSR: It's hard to declare a real winner this week since both Kersten and Ruffcorn were pretty off their game. Despite grossly underestimating America's taste for "comedy," it was a pretty predictable weekend for the box office. It should've been an easy win for either one of our writers, but sadly, it was met with staggering defeat.
