Box Office Challenge: 'Arthur' 'Hanna' and 'Your Highness'

Box Office Challenge

Hitting the screens this weekend ...

Arthur Hanna Soul Surfer Your Highness

TSR's Complete Film Review Database

This week features a whole host of new movies, but the real question is, "Will any of them be able to de-throne family favorite Hop?" My vote is no, considering all of these newer entries are a little less kid-friendly.

Arthur has a shot at it, though. Russell Brand and Helen Mirren might make for an unusual pairing, but that shouldn't stop this remake from making a few bucks off the duo, especially considering Mirren's viral popularity this week with When Harry Met Sally 2.

Funny is the name of the game these days, so Your Highness has a solid shot at third place this weekend. It's R-rating may guarantee some good laughs, but it could easily hurt its earnings at the box office.

Next up, Hanna may take a stab at fourth place. The movie has the benefit of good marketing, but that might not be enough to draw in a huge opening weekend crowd.

Finally, and this is extremely optimistic, Soul Surfer might make an appearance at number five. The inspirational drama follows a young girl's dream to surf again after suffering a traumatic accident, but what about that last sentence screamed "must see"? I'm not sure it's on too many people's radar, so I'm expecting a slow weekend for the film. Each week we’ll take a look at the box office and see if we can’t nail the Top 5 films (in correct order). Also guess how many millions the #1 movie will make.

It’s harder than you think. If you don’t believe, let’s see what your answers are.

My prediction for the weekend of April 8 - 11 …

1. Hop

2. Arthur

3. Your Highness

4. Hanna

5. Soul Surfer

So what are your Top 5 at the box office this weekend?
