Battle: Los Angeles invaded theaters this weekend and snagged a solid lead. Most reports have been less than favorable, but that didn't stop it from breaking out big in its opening weekend.
Rango slipped in its second weekend, down to second place. The all-star animated film has been receiving rave reviews since its release from both critics and audiences alike so I'm expecting this one to stick around for quite a while longer.
Catherine Hardwicke's take on Red Riding Hood, alongside the dreaded ,b>Beastly, has proven that there are easier ways to make a quick buck than to re-hash a beloved fairy tale. Not even doe-eyed Amanda Seyfried could save this one.
The Adjustment Bureau fell on hard times this weekend. With all the new releases, Matt Damon and Emily's sci-fi/action/drama slipped down to fourth place.
Finally, Mars needs Moms had a rough opening weekend. It seems Mars may need moms, but audiences don't seem to need more CG animated Disney fluff, at least not this weekend.
