TSRn: The Rock gets biblical in 'Goliath'

News: Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is in talks to join an adaptation of the biblical epic, 'Goliath.'
Source: Twitch Thoughts by TSR: Are we really so hard up for stories that we're hitting up the Bible now? I mean, I know it's supposedly the greatest story ever told and it was a staple of the Hollywood studio system (The Ten Commandments starring Charlton Heston, anyone?) but the fact that we're hitting up the Bible for stories again does make me a little nervous. On the plus side, there's not a whole lot to the story of David and Goliath so it seems hard to imagine how even The Rock can mess this one up... Don't mistake my indifference to the idea as excitement of any kind, but in recent years, Hollywood has committed worse crimes against humanity. I mean, I wasn't the only one who saw The Smurfs, right?
