It made money, enough to call for a sequel. Will Smith's Hancock grossed $227 million in the summer of 2008, and now comes word that part two is happening. Variety.com reports that director Peter Berg says everyone is coming back for the sequel. He made that announcement at the Toronto Film Festival.
So, what would the sequel be about?
Once again Will Smith and Charlize Theron will be immortal gods who lose their powers when the other is around.
Now there is a third, and the two must pair up and stop them. It looks like Bateman would return for comic relief.
There is no release date set. Adam Fierro and Glen Mazzara will write the script.
