Bayer: Jackson, you get a back story with Jasper. Did you just rub that in constantly?
Jackson: I paid Melissa (the screenwriter) a lot of money for that, you guys should have done it. It was fun, it was great to dive into the back story and show him human, and show him getting turned. It’s very relevant to the plot of Eclipse, because it’s Bella kind of deciding if she’s going to be human or a newborn. Jasper has a lot of knowledge about what being a newborn is.
Bayer: Do you guys feel like you know your characters more than the die-hard fans? Jackson: I don’t know, we’ve had a lot of dinners with Stephanie Meyer and picked her brain. She’s been very sweet about telling us a lot of details. She even gave us a glimpse of “Midnight Sun.” Ashley: Yeah, that was fun.
Bayer: I was told this Ashley … you have an action figure, and now you have a Barbie of Alice … what’s your favorite? Ashley: I think the action figure is bad ass. Alice is already princess enough. Plus, I think boys and girls buy the action figure, whereas the Barbie is mainly for girls.
Bayer: Kellan, you and Jackson get to fight a little bit more in the training sequence. Is that wires? Is that GC? How are they pulling that one off? Jackson: There’s a bit of wires. Kellan: Yeah, when you threw me. So far. [Kellan rolls his eyes] Bayer: Yeah, how does it feel to be the biggest one and constantly get knocked down? Kellan: I love being the biggest one. It’s great. It’s what I live for. No, the training is great. The fighting is great. Fighting along side big white cardboard cut outs is quite funky I guess.
Bayer: Man/woman, it doesn’t matter. What other character from the Twilight series would you like to play?
Ashley: Victoria. I think she’s the most evil character in the series.
Kellan: The tree Rob climbs up [laughter]. There’s a lot of history there.
Jackson: Oh man, I have to say Charlie Swan. It’s just the mustache for me.

What did you eat for breakfast? Kellan: Bowl of berries and a fruit smoothie Ashley: A power bar Jackson: Bloody Mary [laughter] … just kidding. A fruit place or something
Favorite place in the world? Kellan: Dominican Republic Ashley: I love my hometown, Jacksonville, Florida Jackson: Ashley home. [laughter]
Private concert, who’s playing? Kellan: Jackson’s band, 100 Monkeys Ashley: Counting Crows Bayer: So, not Jackson’s band? Ashley: But he already gives me private concerts all the time. Jackson: That’s too hard of a question. There’s too many.
