Box Office Challenge: 'Final Destination 5,' 'The Help' and '30 Minutes or Less'

Box Office Challenge

What movie will be No. 1 at the box office?

Hitting the screens this weekend ...

The Help (Wednesday)

30 Minutes or Less

Final Destination 5

Glee the 3D Concert Movie

TSR's complete Film Review Database

This weekend features a lot of newcomers, but the real question is, who is taking home the number one prize this weekend?

The Help has the distinctive advantage of a Wednesday opening, but the hype surrounding the movie may have worn off by the time Sunday morning comes around.

My money is on Final Destination 5. Not only does it have the distinct 3D advantage, but horror movies are always a solid bread winner when it comes to the box office. Throw in the fact that it's got the most theaters this opening weekend, it seems like a sure bet.

Still, Glee has the tween vote, or so it would seem, but is that enough to secure it the number one spot? I have my doubts.

30 Minutes or Less may have the buzz surrounding it, at least on the comedy circuit, but that doesn't seem like enough to bring it home to number one. It might have more support than Glee but the R rating and the whole comedy thing may be enough to kick it out of first place.

Each week Calhoun Kersten and Aaron Ruffcorn go head to head in a Box Office Challenge.

Who will win?

Maybe you.

Aaron will be back Monday with the Box Office Review. Tune in to find out who wins.

We’ll take a look at the box office and see if we can’t nail the Number 1 film in the U.S.

Whoever is closest, wins. But really, if they aren't within $2 million, it's not very impressive.

It’s harder than you think. If you don’t believe, let’s see what your answers are.

Calhoun Kersten's prediction for the weekend of Aug. 12 - 14

1. Final Destination 5 ($53 Million)

Aaron Ruffcorn's prediction for the weekend of Aug. 12 -14

1. 30 Minutes or Less ($29 Million)

So what are your guess for the Number 1 movie at the box office this weekend?
