Thoughts by TSR: Ah, another product of the Apatow comedy era, titled with some real cojones and true matter-of-factness that must be sending some parents into a monumental tizzy. "You can't have the word 'orgy' in a movie title! How am I going to explain that to my chill'uns?!"
And while it might have the same abrasiveness of a title like The 40-Year-Old Virgin or Knocked Up, it doesn't seem like this will have any of the heart to its concept. At least, from the look of this trailer, which isn't that funny. In fact, this trailer seems to bury this movie under the groaning suspicion that this movie is going to be a cavalcade of orgy jokes, or more of a free-for-all for sexual humor that will indeed include limp sexual politics for guys and gals. Penis size giggles? Girl-on-girl action? Oh yeah, it's gonna be date night at the "select theaters" this movie is apparently going to be playing at. A good old fashioned date night.
While I look forward to witnessing an orgy featuring Nick Kroll (hilarious on the almighty show "The League") possibly Will Forte, and of course Jason Sudeikis, I'm not sure it's going to be a whole lot of fun. I can at least hope all the good stuff isn't ruined by this trailer, a la the kind of bad Horrible Bosses.
