'Inception' starring Leonardo DiCaprio - trailer review
Inception Directed by: Christopher Nolan Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Ellen Page, Cillian Murphy Rating: NR Release Date: July 16, 2010
TRAILER SCORE: 10/10
MY THOUGHTS: I’m sure Nick is somewhere geeking out that I beat him to this trailer review, but watch for yourself and you’ll see why. Nolan is master of the mind f*ck so it’s no wonder this trailer is very guarded in its story telling. Even the plot seems to be somewhat of a secret. Right now, I feel like I have an idea of what’s going on but, like any good trailer should do, I’m left with questions that I need answered. From what I can tell, it seems straight forward enough but as proven with Nolan’s The Prestige or Memento, things are not always as they appear to be. I’m looking forward to the whole thing but I’m expecting a powerhouse third act from this one. Still, this trailer has a lot more going for it than its plot. Besides, being an absolute visual feast for the eyes, this trailer features the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, fresh off Shutter Island as well as a post-Juno Ellen Page. The cast includes many more, not to mention a couple of Batman begins and The Dark Knight actors. This trailer demonstrates why Inception is one of the most anticipated, offering breathtaking beauty and an all-star cast.
