Well, after another sour weekend at the box office, I've earned myself one bragging right. Much to my own chagrin, I called it and The Roommate snagged first place.

It's too early to say, but I bet it was the unfortunate R-rating, paired with the 3D big bucks that guaranteed Sanctum second place in its opening weekend. James Cameron as a producer couldn't have hurt either.

Unfortunately, the pain just kept on coming with No Strings Attached falling into third, which is still high on the list if you ask me.

The King's Speech seems to be getting that pre-Oscar momentum, because it jumped up from fifth place into fourth this weekend, which is far from bad news for Colin Firth and his fellow Oscar nominees.

Finally, The Green Hornet proves it's still got a little life left in it, as it comes in fifth place in its fourth weekend. Odds are we won't be hearing much else from this one, but if February's box offices numbers are half as tepid as they were this weekend, even The Green Hornet has got a shot at next weekend.
