This is Jeff Bayer, and I don't update this site very often. If you'd like to listen to my current movie podcast you can find it at MovieBS.com.

And the winner of "most undeserving number one movie of the weekend" is... Saw 3D. Then again, who didn't see that coming? Torture porn just seems to bring in the big bucks these days, but you all can rest easy. Supposedly this is the last in the franchise... although they said the same thing about The Final Destination.

Runner up was Paranormal Activity 2 which still had a respectable weekend. The low budget scare fest still managed to do pretty well for itself even with competition from Saw 3D.

The surprise of the week was RED which not even Bayer saw coming. Instead of dropping, like most of us here at TSR were expecting, it decided to stay put for its second week in a row.

In fourth place was Jackass 3-D which must have felt the hurt of losing some 3D theaters to Saw VII 3D. Still, I don't expect these kinds of numbers to dampen any spirits after its record breaking opening weekend.

Finally, Hereafter just doesn't seem to be the kind of supernatural fare people can sink their teeth into. Despite Eastwood's name being attached to every trailer I've seen, this one seems pretty much dead in the water.
