Money may never sleep, but neither do audiences. The sequel to Stone’s epic Wall Street brought home the bacon this weekend, even if reception has only been lukewarm.
Trailing in the second is the mythical Legend of the Guardians. Allen seems to think it doesn’t offer a whole lot, but it’s certainly got plenty to look at, debuting on IMAX and in 3D.
Ben Affleck’s The Town is still get plenty of buzz, only dropping to third place in its second weekend. It may not sound like much, but considering all the new releases, Affleck’s definitely got something noteworthy on his hands.
In the rom-com arena, Easy A managed to beat out the female-centric You Again. Looks like the A-list cast of female comediennes still couldn’t take down Emma Stone’s sweet high school morality tale.
