Couples Retreat starring Vince Vaughn did well at the box office, perhaps because it was the only wide release out there. The real big news at the box office is Paranormal Activity. At just 159 screens it dominated. This has Blair Witch potential. It's per screen average is more than $40,000 grand. Keep in mind Couples Retreat is the only other one above $5,000 per screen this weekend. It's the Hangover of horror flicks ... that is of course if in The Hangover they never left the hotel room.
