TSRn: 'Justice League' Film Will Reportedly Feature Five Core Members

Thoughts by TSR: I’ve not been particularly optimistic about this Justice League movie. Marvel Studios had a chance to build their universe before The Avengers, but this film will basically be diving right in. Still, I’m obviously going to see it no matter what, and now Latino Review’s El Mayimbe has the scoop on which superheroes will be on the team. According to his sources, the team will have “five core members”: Superman, Batman, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman, and The Flash. Yeah, those five look about right, I suppose.
They aren’t the only notable members who could have made the squad, though. That crestfallen cry you just heard was a legion of Aquaman and Martian Manhunter fans failing to hide their disappointment. But wait! The report says there might be room for a cameo or two, and those are the two with the best possibility of popping up. Apparently Hawkman is in the running too, though El Mayimbe calls him “the weakest possibility.” While I’ve never followed comic books all that closely, Martian Manhunter is a character I’d like to see. If this ends up being a success I could picture him playing a role down the line, so fingers crossed that he’s the guy. Or martian. Whatever.
Now we wait for a director. I really want this to be good, but I have my doubts that they can pull it off. A trusted name behind the camera would be a great step. At the very least, let’s try to keep McG’s paws off of it, OK?
