Director Nimrod Antal chosen for new Predator reboot
After a few weeks of speculation, it has finally been confirmed that Vacancy and Kontroll director Nimrod Antal has been selected to direct the fifth Predator film, which will be a reboot. The film will be made through Robert Rodriguez's Troublemaker Studios, working on a script written by Alex Litvak and Michael Finch.
Talking to Ain't It Cool News, Rodriguez dished a little information that seemed to indicate it would share the same idea as the earlier films.
"[The film] involves a very intense group of people stranded on a Predator planet discovering unspeakable horrors (that are not always from outside their group). So like the original movie, the title does have double meaning," stated Rodriguez.
Predators, as it is currently titled, is aiming for a July 7, 2010 release date.
