For those who thought that last March's 161-minute Watchmen was still an incomplete experience, director Zack Synder is giving us a bit more hope. 25 more minutes of it. On July 17th, Watchmen: The Director's Cut will hit theatres for one week - but only in four cities. Variety is reporting that these four venues will be somewhere in Dallas, Los Angeles, Minneapolis, and New York.
Those who aren't located near those four cities will have to wait until July 21st to experience it at their own theatres at home. That's the release date of both the Blu-Ray director's cut and the DVD version. Both the director's cut and the theatrical cut will be available on DVD, along with full-screen and widescreen versions.
For the Zack Snyder completest, a release of 300: The Complete Experience will also happen on the same day.
For those living in or near the four lucky cities, are you going to see it in theaters? For those such as myself, who live in nowhere towns like Chicago, are you still going to invest in the Blu-Ray? Or maybe even make a pilgrimage to the closest theatre, possibly using Nite Owl's hover vehicles, or even Archie?
