Rosario Dawson to co-star with Kevin James in Zookeeper
Rosario Dawson has just signed on to play opposite Kevin James in his comedy, Zookeeper. The film is set to be directed by Frank Coraci, who will be working off a script written by Jay Scherick and David Ronn, Kevin James, Rock Reuben, and Nick Bakay. Shooting will commence later this summer in Boston, Mass., with a July 23, 2010 release date on target.
Happy Madison, Adam Sandler's company, will produce along with Todd Garner, Jeff Sussman, Jennifer Eatz and Kevin James himself.
Before one starts dreading the Paul Blart: Mall Cop similarities this project may or may not have, here's the plot, as described by Variety: "Live actioner centers on zoo animals trying to teach the keeper their methods of dating and mating to help him win back the woman of his dreams."
Wow! Bestiality and Kevin James?! Sounds like a wacky combination, one that will likely be way more zanier than a movie about an obese mall cop who patrols his sacred grounds on a Segway. But all animals need love, certainly, as I'm sure James' character will learn.
Variety still hasn't reported whether James will have another ironic mustache in the new film.
