Terminator: Salvation and sequel talks

McG is following along with most summer movies ... keeping a tight lip on any major plot details. But we've uncovered a couple of nuggets. It looks like Terminator: Salvation director, McG is taking more cues from Dr. Emmett Brown than James Cameron.

Though there are no set-in-stone scripts being volleyed around the Internet just yet, Film Journal says that the same man who brought us a unique update of Charlie’s Angels will bring the Terminator story “back to the past” in the inevitable follow-up.

It’s also reported that the looming sequel will touch on more politically charged subject matter such as stem-cell research and other scientific taboos.

The only thing missing will be a 1985 DeLorean, and a gas-tank’s worth of plutonium.
