20th Century Fox has decided to postpone the Wednesday premiere of X-Men Origins: Wolverine due to concerns over the recent swine flu outbreak, according to a recent People report. A rep for the studio said, "We were not only concerned for Hugh's welfare -- and we would never send anyone into harm's way -- but we also have an enormous office filled with people we care about." Hugh Jackman was the only cast member scheduled to make an appearance.
The studio's decision is in line with current preventative measures being taken in Mexico. Following recent government actions to close schools, two of the nation's top theater chains have voluntarily shut down several cinemas in affected areas to help prevent spread of the virus.
