The Dark Knight did it again, barely holding off The Pineapple Express, the first pot action movie that I can think of. If Sony had kept the original release date for Pineapple (which was Friday), my hunch is that it would have topped Batman, considering Pineapple made $18 million on Wednesday and Thursday. The reign will end for Batman with Tropic Thunder. Five weeks at the top. Third all-time at the box office. So far, so good and well deserved. It should be able to get by Star Wars and sit at number two when it's all said and done.

Most consecutive weeks at Number one ... 1 Titanic - 15 2 Beverly Hills Cop - 13 3 Tootsie - 13 4 Home Alone - 12 5 Crocodile Dundee - 9
