Quentin Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards begins

Finally. Quentin Tarantino's long-awaited war film is set to begin filming in October. Inglorious Bastards will film in Europe and hopefully to ready for the Cannes film festival in 2009 according to THR.com. There is no cast set, but supposedly Brad Pitt's name has been floated out there.

The World War II action movie will be about a "Dirty Dozen"-like group of soldiers behind enemy lines.

Tarantino says the script is an original even though he bought the title and remake rights to Enzo Castellari's 1978 film of the same name.
