Georges Méliers' La Voyage dans la Lune is having a banner year after being featured heavily in Oscar nominee Hugo. Now it's getting a shiny new re-release. The original color plates, long believed lost, were found and the film's original hand-coloring has been restored. Air have written a soundtrack for the film that will be released on February 7. Portlanders can see the film, along with a documentary about the restoration process at the Portland International Film Festival on February 10 and 12. Here's a preview.
