Jake's Take on his interviews with Zach Galifianakis, Emma Roberts and Keir Gilchrist from It's Kind of a Funny Story
I've said before that most comedian interviews usually fall into one of two categories -- seriously somber (AKA not funny) or outrageously uncontrollable (AKA Robin Williams). But Zach Galifianakis is one of the most interesting comedians I've ever had the pleasure of talking to.
From one minute, impersonating a girl who plans on playing with a certain body part all night to -- just a few moments later -- contemplating the difference between ad libbing in comedy and drama, Galifianakis shows the kind of range in an interview that few comedians ever show in their career.
I can only hope, with The Hangover 2 on the way, that he avoids getting stuck into a "type" ala Will Ferrell. There's nothing funny about that.
