Send Movie B.S. to the Cannes Film Festival
The Cannes Film Festival has been around since the 1940s, but the one thing everyone has always said about it is that it didn't have enough smart-aleck American movie critics. Jeff Bayer and Eric D. Snider would like to remedy this by recording daily podcasts from the 2012 festival under the "Movie B.S. with Bayer and Snider" banner. This will be a boon to the international community and will probably result in some Nobel Prizes. click here to donate through Kickstarter
Cannes is very expensive, though, because it's all the way in France and everything costs a lot. They don't even take "dollars" over there! This Kickstarter campaign is to raise the funds necessary for airfare, hotel accommodations, food, and berets. We intend to operate as cheaply as possible without having to sleep in a park.

In return, we'll do at least 6 podcasts of at least 45 minutes each during the week we're there. These will be the sort of high-quality "Movie B.S. with Bayer and Snider" frivolity you're accustomed to, with reviews of the movies we're seeing at Cannes, stories about the weird things that French people say to us, and probably complaints about the weather. It will be as if you're right there at Cannes with us! Only better, because you won't be!

Pledge $100 or more For a $100 contribution, we'll have you on the show for 5 minutes to talk about whatever you want. (It will be one of the regular weekly podcasts, not one of the Cannes editions.) Now's your chance to tell our thirty listeners what you think!
Pledge $250 or more For a $250 contribution, you'll get a Movie B.S. with Bayer and Snider Cannes 2012 memorial T-shirt, with the berets-and-red-carpet logo printed on it. This will make you the envy of the people who see you wearing the T-shirt. (Note: Donors at this level get the reward for the $100 level, too!)
Pledge $500 or more For a $500 contribution, Bayer and Snider will record an audio commentary for the movie of your choosing. It will be an audio file that you can play while you watch the movie (which you'll need to have your own copy of). It will be scintillating and humorous and will shed light on the film, unless it's a film we don't like, in which case we'll probably just make fun of it. (Note: Donors at this level get the rewards for the $100 and $250 levels, too!)
