Final Thoughts: Sigh. The good kind, not the disappointed kind. All is right in the world. Inglourious Basterds beats The Hurt Locker to claim the best movie of 2009 in the TSR Movie Awards. The Blind Side and Avatar are near the bottom, but I had no idea how much dislike there was for Public Enemies. It was in my top 10 of the year. It was a strong year for animation as two of the top five films came from that world. My favorite blockbuster, Star Trek, finished a six, which isn't bad at all considering where that franchise was before J.J. Abrams came along breathed life into the sci-fi series. The score of 8.77 by Basterds isn't the strongest, but it, along with Hurt Locker will have a chance to compete in the "8 years of TSR Awards: Deciding the Best of the (almost) Decade" later this summer. Though, I might have to work on that title.
