BEST DOCUMENTARY
8.47 THE COVE 8.46 FOOD, INC. 8.17 GOOD HAIR 8 BURMA VJ 8 EARTH 7.23 TYSON 7.15 MICHAEL JACKSON’S THIS IS IT 6.8 OUTRAGE 5.38 CAPITALISM: A LOVE STORY 4 THE MOST DANGEROUS MAN IN AMERICA: DANIEL ELLSBERG AND THE PENTAGON PAPERS
Final Thoughts: It wasn't the strongest year for documentaries. The best film won this category. Cove was not only the best documentary, it was one of the most thrilling. I loved that they brought together the "Best of the Best" to capture that horrific video of the dolphins. This was also the closest category of the year. Cove beat Food, Inc. by 0.01. You can't get closer. By the way, if you watch Food, Inc. with your wife, there's a 90 percent you'll be forced to change your diet. Just a warning. For all of you that liked Earth, you should realize it's the exact same footage that was in the Discovery Channel and BBC Films footage "Planet Earth." It was simply Disneyfied. You should feel dirty.
