The Results of the 8th Annual Movie Awards

SADDEST

7.94 PRECIOUS 7.62 THE MESSENGER 7.48 THE ROAD 7.05 UP 6.50 THE TIME TRAVELER’S WIFE 6.11 THE LOVELY BONES 5.92 MY SISTER’S KEEPER 5.39 THE BLIND SIDE

Final Thoughts: No film this year truly had a constant pulling of the heartstrings. That's shown by Precious' top score not even hitting 8.0. In every one of these films I wanted more tears. Yes, Mo'Nique and Gabourey Sidibe brought the sad, just not the tears. For me, The Road was the most depressing. Actually, it was simply depression - in movie form. Sometimes I just want to be crushed by a film. It never really happened for me this year. I guess it's back to watching the end of Ruby. Works every time. Though, they are admittedly tears of joy.
