Killers - trailer

Killers Directed by: Robert Luketic Starring: Ashton Kutcher, Katherine Heigl, Tom Selleck, Catherine O’Hara Rating: NR Release Date: June 4, 2010

TRAILER SCORE: 5/10

MY THOUGHTS: Heigl retains her clutch on the romantic comedy genre with yet another movie about an “old” single woman, who meets a guy, only to find out he’s not who she thought he was. This one looks like a mixture of The Heartbreak Kid meets Mr. and Mrs. Smith so based on the trailer I’m not expecting anything too fresh. I mean, how many times can a guy be expected to laugh at Heigl not being able to fire a gun? You think she’d learn eventually, but this trailer reads like a violent “America’s Funniest Home Videos” reject more than anything else. Other than that, Kutcher’s trademark abs make an appearance so that may at least be something for the ladies or any fans of his. However, most of the comedy in this film looks like a running gag at Heigl’s expense which can get pretty tired pretty quickly. O’Hara’s brief appearances in the trailer look like she may be the film’s saving grace, otherwise nothing much to look at except for fans of the genre.
