The Scorecard Review news
News: There's a chance we could be seeing a teaser trailer for The Dark Knight Rises next week, with the opening of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows - Part 2. A teaser trailer for Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows is also expected to play with the Harry Potter film.

Thoughts by TSR: Once this teaser drops, it'll be "The Year of the Bat" all over again, just like that summer before The Dark Knight when we tried to figure out what "Why So Serious?" meant. The internet has offered fans a few tastes of the new Batman movie from director Christopher Nolan, including an image of Bane (as played by Tom Hardy), but this could be the biggest thing yet.
Even though this is just a teaser, this will be the biggest indicator we'll have for some time as to whether Nolan's still "got it," after making that massive masterpiece called Inception. Perhaps from this teaser alone, we'll be able to see whether the creative forces behind the Batman franchise still really want to thrill audiences with expert teases (the Dark Knight teaser was tremendous) or if they are comfortable playing it simple. And if we should even have a single visual from the movie, which is still in production, I'm hoping our glimpse might be at something new and jaw-dropping (a la the Inception teaser, which opened with Inglourious Basterds if I'm not mistaken).
For me, I appreciate the warning from the internet as I'm going to have to play this one carefully. I don't like watching trailers for movies I'm looking forward to see, and I might even have to start practicing my second "Bat-stinence" at the very beginning of this film's yearlong journey to theaters. It has made seeing so many films for the first time so worth it. Give it a shot sometime.
